I wanna buy HD6670 1gb DDR5.
procesor =amd sempron
mobo=asus m2a mx(pci express available.)
psu 385 w.recquired 400w.

my local computer dealer said that "amd sempron is very old and u should be a fool to combine it with such a good card!".I'm aware that my system is 5 yrs old and i don't expect much more perfomance.i am out of money for upgrading at this moment and i think i'll be able to do so within 2 yrs.

my Q is that ,if i buy 6670 now will that be a blunder?

Your processor will bottleneck this card heavily. Even though this is an entry-level card.

Yes, it's somewhat bad. If i were you, I would buy a 7450, and save money to at least a mobo and cpu upgrade. Or if things are that bad, go with an APU based system.

Upgrade it ASAP. Anything less then dual core isn't very useful nowadays.

Sir i couldn't find a 7450,whats that. and if i'm buying a card lower than this that would be a DDR3 and within 1 yr that would be outdated and after that there is a possibility that i may upgrade other components.Then this DDR3 will be of no use.THEN WHAT SHOULD I DO BUYING ANOTHER CARD again,whichis impossible and a loss too. I don't think that's a good thing to do.

i guess a a10-5800k based system with 2x4gb 1866/2133 Ram and a cheap fm2 mobo would be the best for you

@ MANU PRATHAP VANAMALI: Yes, it will be a mistake, the processor is too slow to run a 6670.
A few questions though:
Where do you live? We may be able to provide other options better suited to your country/region.
What graphics card (if any) is currently installed?
