I'm building a budget desktop pc, and would really like some advice on what CPU/GPU to use, i have these in mind:
AMD fx 6300, intel i3, gtx 650 ti boost and 7850.
What would be the best combination for ultra settings on most games, 1080p and editing/rendering. Also wouldnt mind some advice on what motherboard/PSU to use.
Thanks

Solution
If you also want to render, the fx is the better suited CPU, at the vgas it depends for how much you can get them since they perform around the same. A nice mono for the fx would be the gigabyte ga970-ud3 or the Asus m5a97 r2.0. PSU a well known brand like xfx, seasonic, corsair, rose will with >500w

Fine, then go with the fx and the 650 ti boost!
But keep in mind, you won't be able to play everything on ultra with this card, its not that high end.

cheapest and best card for ultra and 1080p (note: still doesnt play crysis 3 on ultra) would be a hd7950
but it also depends what games you are playing and how much demanding they are. like CS:Go is only 1 year old but its so less demaning that i can max it out on my laptop.

hmm sorry mate, didnt know how expensive the cards are there. the next tier after the 650ti boost/hd7850 would be the 660/hd7870.

just looked up a few bf3 benches, with ultra settings but without AA a gtx650 ti boost will give you a average of 55fps, with 4x AA its around 38. But keep in mind that are averages, it will dip lower during gameplay. for skyrim all cards would be sufficient

Thanks, well for my budget i cant get the anything over the 650 boost, so it will have to do, 55 average fps is pretty good, considering the price, if the 7850 and 650 are relatively the same ill get the 650.

You'll be able to play on ultra if you overclock the gpu and the processor...amd fx 6300 and nvidia gtx 650 ti boost......just make sure you have a 1600mhz ram and a good psu(power supply) and a good cooler for your processor ......!!
