Hi,
I managed to figure out it's actually a FOXCONN motherboard. I went to the Foxconn support site for motherboards but this model was NOT in the list. Unfortunately, all other motherboards of this type have "NO FOUND DATA" when you query CPU support site.

*Now the question becomes WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

I'm guessing maybe your previous motherboard died so you looked for a simple fix. Now your CPU isn't compatible so you need to buy a different one.

I'm sorry to say I think it's time to cut your losses and get a new computer.

my old pc was..well...ooold i thought this was an upgrade, thankyou so much for the reply and i now k now where i stand another new mobo for me...maybe one compatible with intel D dual core :)

The only compatible board I can find was THIS one (reviews aren't great):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157337

Support: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/G31M-GS/

Points:
1. You need to check the CPU compatibility chart at the above site for your exact CPU.

2. The other two boards listed under LGA775 had the following difference:
a) one was for an AGP video card (very old). All are PCIe now.
b) one supported DDR3 memory (I assume you have DDR2 memory?)

3. You'll need to reinstall Windows. If you need help you can PM me.

Summary:
- confirm CPU is compatible
- confirm you use DDR2 memory
- confirm you use PCIe video card (or don't mind the basic included Intel)
