Any faults in This Build?

Hello,

Are there any faults in my proposed build (bottlenecking etc.):

CPU: Intel Core i3 3240
GPU: ASUS AMD Radeon HD 7790 1GB OC
Memory: Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600mhz (1x4GB)
Mobo: ASRock H61M-VG3
PSU: OCZ CoreXStream Series 500W
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200rpm
ODs: LG CD/DVD-Rw
OS: Windows XP or 7 (undecided)

Any help will be appreciated!

That PSU is not great. I would have a look at the xfx550 unit. It will be MUCH better quality.

For low-mid budget I'd suggest you go with AMD CPU.

Would you mind sharing the budget with us?

The motherboard will not work. You need a b75/h77/z77 board.

The reviews on amazon for that psu were pretty promising with mostly 5 stars and some of those guys had very similar setups as me.

Omga4000 :

My budget is around 300-350 euro (400-460 Dollars) . I find that Intel are the better alternative due to their substantially lower power consumption.

You cannot go by user reviews. That OEM for that PSU is HEC which is not great. there are MANY better units for around the same price.

Have a look at the Antec vp-450. It is an amazing quality unit for around the same price and will run your build with ease.
