I have a HP EliteBook 6930p. This is an old laptop that I never used, now when I really want to use it I can't remember my password. So I have downloaded (OPHCRACK) unto an usb but for some reason I can't see to be able to boot from it. It won't show on my bios or anything. I have tried all usb ports which to me seem to be working because the light on the usb lights up. Can anyone here help me? Thanks for your time.

Older devices can't boot from USB. I have a PC downstairs, was trying to setup a HD with Windows on it to install, and it can't see it either. Other PC's can and boot from it. Just depends on the PC. Old PC's never had that option in mind. USB was for keyboard and mice and stuff, not bootable discs when it first came out, so it was added to BIOS's till way later on.
