Basically I have never built my own gaming desktop before and have NO experience with desktops whatsoever, since I used to be a console gamer. However, I am getting into PC gaming as well now and I would like a build that is better in terms of gaming performance than my current laptop - an ASUS S46CM. My budget is under 450 USD and I already have a good monitor, keyboard, and mouse which are suitable for gaming. The monitor is 1080p but it doesn't matter to me if the rig can't play games at 1080p at medium-high settings since my requirement is a 720p resolution at medium to high settings. Please keep in mind that i live in India so I would prefer India for buying parts but location is not a big barrier for me. The main problem for me is deciding the parts. Also, storage is not a big problem for me but I would like 100 GB+.Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry for the poor opening post, I did not state that I already have Windows 8 for installation. I have presented all the information in the new edit now. Then it is certainly within my budget. However, i would like to see some reply's from fellow residents of India to see what kind of a gaming rig I can build in India.
