I can't get a picture out of any monitor I plug in

Hi, so I finished building a pc last night, but if I plug it in to my monitor the monitor goes to sleep, but it is getting a signal because if I unplug it it shows the testing screen. I have no other loose cables but some power supply cables
I didn't use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What video card, does it have all the power plugged into it? Are you plugging into the video card or the motherboard.

I'm plugging in to the motherboard, and yes, I believe it has all the power to it. Here's my video card:

souds daft but make sure the card is seated correct and the pci-e power cables are plugged into the graphics card. Also that the vga/hdmi cable is plugged in correctly to the graphics card. Also what size PSU are you using?

Why are you plugging into the motherboard with a video card? you need to plug into your video card, not the motherboard.

ok and just to be clear, are you plugging the video cable from your monitor into the actual graphics card or are you plugging it on the mobo

Then you need an adapter. The whole point of having a video card is to use it. Every video card I have seen comes with a DVI to VGA adapter.
