Not sure what is going on. And this happens in ALL my web browsers, Opera, Chrome, Firefox, IE etc... After a certain amount of time( couple hours to a couple days), the connection to any website starts showing a timeout error and I cannot connect unless I restart. I have tried ipconfig /release, /renew, and flushdns. I suspected a bad router( I have an Actiontec MW424 something or other revision I. I set my IP as a static IP as I had read that DHCP in Vista could have been the culprit. It still does it. I have tried several public DNS servers, and that is not it either. What is strange is when this happens, I can ping websites that I have up on my browser, Verizon e-mail, facebook, youtube, wikipedia, google, etc...I am still connected to the internet while this is going on. What fixes it temporarily is if I reboot my computer. This problem does not happen in safe-mode with networking as I was able to go a whole week without it happening.

Aside from completely re-installing Windows, what options do I have?

Before you say use the search button, I HAVE searched this and many other forums to no avail.

To add: I am on a wired connection with the router firewall at medium and I use AVG firewall. I have had AVG for about 3 months, and my NIC card is a 10/100 NVIDIA. I have not had any issues like this until August of this year.
