What is the best console to game on?
PC vs. XBOX vs. PS?

Im asking to see if its worth spending £1,400 GBP ($2000) on a rig if it would be better to get an xbox/ps?

All help and opinions are most welcome

First, you can do a gaming rig for a lot less than $2000. Next, it depends on if you liking gaming on a controller or keyboard and mouse. Next, it depends on if you like certain games that are going to xbox one or ps4 exclusive. A console, if you get a new one, will be good for the next 6-10 years of the cycle without having to upgrade. Buying a PC, in 5 years, it won't be able to play any of the games out at that time.

This rig won't be a gaming rig, more of a multi-purpose rig of sorts...
And you do realize you can game with a XBOX 360 controller or Keyboard/Mouse right?

Specs;
Corsair 350D w/ window
i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz
Corsair H80i Liquid Cooler
ASRock Pro4-m
8Gb Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
250Gb Samsung 840 SSD
2Tb Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm
EVGA GTX760 Superclocked w/ ACX cooler
Corsair CX500m PSU
Windows 7 64bit
(plus fan controller, 6 high performance fans, wireless lan card etc. etc.)

Decent enough for gaming? or will the xbox/ps be a better option?
Bare in mind, cost isn't much of a problem

For any multi-platform games...duh. Obviously you cant play console exclusives on a PC and vice versa.
