Hi, make sure you have the correct and most recent driver(s) for the printer installed.

Hi windows 7 I have tried all the usual solutions with no luck. In main user account , in regedit , in printer port and in windows no lines pointing to epson 3540; In the other 2 new user accounts, the epson 3540 is in both the printer ports and in windows in regedit. I am not an expert in regedit so I hesitate to tinker with this.

Still cannot set as default::
Ok, Now I have these in a drop down menu when I try to print;
Epson RemotePrint(WF-3540)
Epson Wf-3540 Series(Fax)
Epson07b217(WF-3540Series)
Fax
Foxit PDF Printer
Lexmark E238(MS)
Microsoft XPS Document Writer
