what is the best overclock for gaming ?

The higher the better assuming the game is CPU dependent like Skyrim, Star craft 2, Battlefield 3 multiplayer, Hitman: Absolution, Metro 2033, Far Cry 3 and Crysis 3.

In games that are not CPU dependent at all like BioShock Infinite, Battlefield 3 single player, Tomb Raider there will be no performance difference whether the CPU is running at 3GHz or 6GHz.

Since AMD CPUs do not perform as well as Intel CPUs in games that means they need to be overclocked higher to achieve the same results as Intel CPUs.

thanks what about voltage? whats the safest voltage ? 4.5ghz on 1.25 is fine?
and whats the safest clock(or is it voltage) for lifespan ? i dont wont to cut my cpus lifespan
