my asus xonar ds came in today and I figured installing it would be a breeze since I already built the computer... however this is not the case. I put it in the pci slot then booted the computer and installed the proper drivers then restarted, but nothing happened. I don't see it in the device manager anywhere and if it is in there it's not under the name it should be. I also have the front panel audio header plugged into the card. Plugging in my headphones to either the front panel or the sound card directly in the back does nothing, the headphones don't show up in playback devices. Not sure what the problem is here, any suggestions?

I tried a system restore and reinstalling the drivers. This time right when it finishes I get a pop up box with a message saying something like "please insert your asus xonar product" and won't install the drivers. I've tried re-seating it multiple times, but to no avail. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I found nothing about it after searching google.
