I wanna get a video card, maybe for not hardcore gaming, games like Burnout, Medal Of Honor, Garry's Mod. The reason I have a 220 watt because I have a slim line pc. I have found a few PSUs that are small but pretty expensive, so please just list the graphic cards. I saw on a few threads that low profile cards are good, I don't buy online. I could go to a local Frys store, can this vcard fit & run on my PC?

My PC cpu is 2.7 duel core intel e5400
My GPU is an Intel G41 Chipset, which is integrated which sucks. I can play a games with a good fps rating on really low, 3D games are going to get a crapton of FPS.

Oh and my friend and I are gonna play MW3 Multiplayer andI wanna play with a good FPS hardly any lag. I'll play on med-low settings if I have to

Solution

May make it more tricky...I'd take your PSU out of your case and take it to your local retailer/shop and see what they can find then

There've been reported successes using the 6670 with my 220 watts, I'm going to get a new computer case but for the mean time, I'll stick with my psu unless
I find a cheap psu that can fit in my case

If you are planning on gettng a larger case, get that before you get a gaming class video card, or get a cheaper slower card that is made for low power use.

If you just get a 6670 or higher and it fails, you could damage the card or the motherboard.

I'd get a case/powersupply combo and get a video card. Otherwise you can have a dead motherboard and/or a dead video card, plus having to buy a new case, instead of just a new case and video card. If you think the risk (although a small risk) or frying the motherboard or video card if the power is not enough is worth not getting the case now, then try it. You do have a good chance of it working, but the chance of it not is pretty large also.

If you already have plans to upgrade, I would upgrade everything all together, that way you can the gpu you want and not have to worry about power issues.

Good luck!

I wish, but I'm budgeting ;-;. I might just get a power supply and a Video card together. The Radeon 6670, but any ideas for a smaller psu. I have about $100 so that's what I'm currently going up to with the radeon 6670, I could pay a few extra dollars. My case is a HP slimline s5412p.

Make sure you get a low profile card. You should measure your PSU to be sure, but it's possible certain mini-ITX style PSUs might fit:

But measure your PSU to make sure...

I'll go to a local Frys electronics store and see what they have there, thanks

You can find a case and power supply for about the same price as a small power supply with good power to fit into your case. There are used full dual core computers that sell for under $100, I'm sure you can find someone with a case/power supply they don't need anymore that they'd sell for $20-30. Or about $50-60 new for a 300 or 350 watt system.
