To make it more clear, I have dns320 with 1HDD, bought another HDD to populate the second bay. The thing i want to do is to transfer the data from the existing HDD to the new one. copy pasting it on a network is all i can think of but it will take a daw to finish. sometimes the bad part is it stop transferring. so i need to start over again. need help thanks

Solution
I thot ya had old pair, one died and ya replaced it......never occurted to me that there wud be a NAS w/ only 1 drive in it :)

My solution from above is the best bet then .... put one drive in the BlacX and use something like FBackup to make a mirror

NO i think you misunderstand me. I have a dns320 using a single HDD (HDD-a). I just bought a new HDD (HDD-b) to populate the second bay. but i want to copy the data of (HDD-a) to (HDD-b).
I cannot set it up as a raid because HDD-a already has data on it.

Reason im doing this is I want to get rid of (HDD-a) and just use (HDD-b). And the only thing i can think of transferring them is copying over the network.
