I have a good CPU question, I cant meet the system requirments

I would love to play black ops, but the minimum system requirements is a Intel® Core™2 Duo E6600 2.4ghz OR a AMD 2.4ghz Phenom™ X3 8750 triple core. It makes no sense, it needs a 2.4 Intel Duo core, BUT!!! needs a AMD 2.4 TRIPLE!!! core REALLY??? somebody explain this to me please, maybe Intel's bus speed is faster, more voltage or something means more power. Im just really disapointed that my system is outdated & I cant play any of the really good newer games. Black ops 1 & 2 & Ghost, MW3, Chris 3 Etc. In the future i would love to upgrade my system with a newer based Motherboard with DDR3 Ram, with a new CPU but.... Im broke as a joke right now.

I have a Gigabyte GA-MA78LM-S2H
Cpu: Processor AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 Processor, 3000 Mhz, 2 Core(s)
DDR 2 - 4gb ram
ATI Radeon 5850 1GB 256 Bit
500 Watt PSU

intel runs faster than amd's, more effecient at using the speed, its like all-wheel drive on ice with winter tires vs rear wheel drive with summers on ice sadly

Great way of putting it, but just really disapointed. So i take it as i need ATLEAST a AMD x3 (Triple CORE) of minimum 2.4ghz? I will try & buy a 3.0ghz x3 when I save up. I have $300 saved for my future upgraded PC, I have a great graphics card, PSU, Case Tower. I just need to upgrade my: Ram, Motherboard, & last but not lease the CPU. Im guessing ill need maybe about $500 total? to buy a x3 CPU 3.0ghz, Ram 8gb, & a new Motherboard? ill probably need to do a little price research, just kind of bummed. I completely understand with MW3 & Black ops Ghost, But disapointed with black ops 1 requiring so much.

if you spend 500 on ram mobo and cpu, you should be able to get something good. anywhoo http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/parts/cpu/#m=6&k=6&c=4,3 a list of cpu's for your motherboard. I would suggest just get what you need to play it and save up for new hardware I am in the same boat pretty much slowly getting my rig the way I want it to

Ok dam there are so many different CPU's it says minimum phenom x3 which is a triple core, im guessing any other AMD triple core or more will do the job? Luckly i have my brother agreeing to help me out. Thanks for the help, & helping me understand why so much more from AMD

the x3 455 isn't over expensive and it would let you save up for some new hardwar for your rig and you could keep this one for a media pc or whatever

AMD 2.4 TRIPLE!! ...has almost same performance with your AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 Processor, 3000 Mhz, 2 Core(s) on gaming. In many conditions your cpu could be faster!
Dont get bother! I agree that Intel has more efficient cpu .... best example is dual core I3 ..... which is fast for games
