Hi everyone,

I've had this rig for more than a year now (i7 3770K, GA-Z77M-3DH rev 1.0) but only now have I wanted to overclock it. EasyTune 6 won't show any useful options on the Quick Boost tab (only offering to increase BCLK to 101MHz, 102MHz and 103MHz.

I've also checked in the BIOS and it wouldn't let me change the multiplier from the base 35.

So, it looks like this really isn't a 'K' version but I know what I purchased and EasyTune is reporting it as a 3770K.

Am I doing something wrong here? Is there anything else I should be checking or doing?

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions!

Andrew.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've now done this and CPU-Z reports my CPU as "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz". It is a 'K' version, I just don't know why I can't overclock it.

Thanks. I'll check out the BIOS some more and see if I can find that setting. I couldn't see anything like that when I looked earlier but I will look again.

OK - I've checked this out. The 'Advanced' BIOS isn't letting me change the setting.

BUT when I use the BIOS '3D mode' I get a scroll bar which DOES let me change the CPU clock and another one where I can change the memory clock.

So, I can overclock it - thanks for your help everyone!

But isn't it weird that I can't overclock using the advanced settings. And also with Easy Tune 6 not working either?

-Final update-
I just downloaded and installed the latest version of EasyTune 6 and everything seems to be working fine. Running at 4.2GHz without a problem. Thanks again everyone.
