Hey guys, I am having a few issues with my graphics card, It is a Gigabyte Radeon HD 6950 1Gb, It's about 2 or so years old, And for a while now it's been running high temperatures and the load of the card has been excessively high, I had just ignored it most of the time(I know, I should have jumped on the situation before it got this bad :/), But now I have decided to finally ask a guru about this. Basically I turn on my PC and straight away the GPU load hums around the 90-95% range, Which is pretty bad, Considering the card isn't too bad of a card, Also looking at the temperature. It sits around the 82°C range at idle, This part scares me, I don't think that's normal, I have tried the basic things like restarting my PC, Re-installing the latest graphics drivers, Running multiple well known bench marking tools and hardware monitors just to make sure, And they all read the same. I am not in a great hurry to have this question answered, Since I have a new Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 3Gb in the mail, It should arrive tomorrow. But I would like to have a card in my second PC, Although I think this one is on its way out. I will be monitoring this thread closely to answer any questions.

Thanks, Pumbaa.

Sounds like your system has a virus, or, more likely a malware infection there is a lot of rogue bitcoin miners out there and they LOVE AMD/ATI cards.
Run a full virus sweep and a full malware sweep, note antivirus software does not usually scan for malware, for that I suggest you try Malwarebytes.
