9950 crossfire vs 9970?

Hello everyone. I know it's more like impossible to answer this question, but someone has to have any idea about the specifications. So when the 9000 series release, I'am gonna choose between 2x 9950's or 9970. So how much more performance will 2x 9950's have then a 9970?

And my next question is, will a 9950 have more performance then a 7970?

Oh okay, that's a lot of money for a build so you should stick with the i7 probably, get a 3-way 9970 CF and that 240Gb SSD. That should fit it to your budget. I know I could certainly do it here in Canada. i7 will be better for general purpose but the i5 will be just as good for gaming.

The 9970 competes with the GTX 780 and according to rumors should be a bit more powerful and cost at least $50 less. The 9950 replaces the 7970 and should be a bit more powerful and compete with the 770. As for CF 9950vs 9970, the two 9950s will be more powerful just as two 770s are more powerful then a 780. However, they will cost more and you still have to wait for CF fixes for DX9 and 10 and for multiple monitors. Hope this helps!

Nice! I think I will stick with 2x 9970's :). Do you know if a corsair 800w will be enough power for 2x 9970, i7 4770k, seagate 1TB, Kingston HyperX 240gb SSD?

I would assume not. I would recommend upwards of 1000W, probably 1200W. With such high end components, better safe then sorry!

Really? Then I take i5 4670k, and Kingston HyperX 120gb and 1000w PSU instead of i7 4770k and 240GB ssd.

The i7 is not a good deal for gaming anyways, so I'd recommend that in a way. But what is your budget? I could recommend a build for you if you want!
