Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 2GB GDDR5 GHz OC Edition

Does anyone have the same graphics card overclocked to 1200MHz? How

much of an improvement did you have in terms of frames per second in

games? 10 frames per second, maybe? Especially in Battlefield 3, how much

frames per second gain did you see? I'm interested how much of an

improvement can a decent overclock look like, thank you for you answer. I

might buy this gaming computer, that's why I'm asking:

ASRock FM2A85X Extreme4

AMD Athlon X4 750K 3.4GHz (4.5GHz when I get Cooler Master Hyper 212

EVO)

Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 2GB GDDR5 GHz OC Edition (Overclocked to

1200MHz)

Zalman Z5 Plus (I migh get a Zalman Z12 Plus if my budget increases)

Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB

XFX Core Edition PRO 550W

as far as overclocking goes for the GPU, it'll depend on the chip itself but, the Club3D version of the HD 7870 seems to be actually using a 7900 series GPU along with a custom PCB. a review from guru3d shows it can reach 1150MHz somewhat easily. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/club3d_radeon_7870_joker_review,1.html

if my budget increased, the first thing that i would look to upgrade is probably the CPU to an i5 3570k.
