A question about HDMI/DVI to VGA converters

I just bought an MSI N760 Hawk which only has 1 DVI-I output, while the rest are all digital only. The problem is that I have 2 analog monitors with D-sub inputs.

What would be the best way to connect the 2nd monitor? I was thinking of using this HDMI to VGA converter:

The other type of converter I found is a miniDisplayPort to VGA converter. Would that one work better?

Since I have no experience with these adapters I'm wondering if this setup would work and what sort of problems I may encounter.

You can't convert HDMI (digital) to VGA (analog) with something like that. It has to be active (plugged into power). These claim to be a solution: http://vgatohdmi.com/ but I've never heard of them or had any experience. However, miniDP to VGA could work. Only 'problems; are going to be lowered resolution.
