Hello discolady,

Signal strength is not affected by the amount of devices connected. Other interference, such as distance, walls, floors, other wireless networks, etc... will interfere with your wireless signal throughout your house. I do know the Linksys E1200 is the bottom model in that the family of wireless routers, which typically means it has less power and a smaller wireless footprint.

One option is to relocate your Linksys router to a more central location in your home, which would more evenly distribute your wireless signal. If you can't relocate, another option is to purchase a wireless network extender. These devices pick up the signal from your Linksys and re-broadcast them with a different SSID, and typically have a pretty strong wireless range.

However, before purchasing anything, please make sure you have the latest drivers for your wireless cards. Sometimes a simple update will alleviate many headaches.

Finally, I believe the Linksys browser interface allows you to see other wireless networks in your neighborhood. It's possible that your wireless network is transmitting on the same channel of your neighbor's wireless network, which can cause interference with your own devices, leading to dropped connections.

Let me know what you find out and if I can help any further.

Cheers!
