i i just built my first pc and when i tried turning it on it failed. so i started panicking, thinking of a solution to the problem. then i remembered that cursed 20 + 4 cable that just wouldnt stay no matter what i did. so i opened it up (the side panel) held the 20 + 4 cable into the motherboard, turned it on, and it worked, but as soon as i let go of it the system turns off. electrical tape? PLEASE HELP! sorry if this belongs in motherboards or somewhere else.

What motherboard do you have? Are you putting the connector in in the correct direction?
Is this an MSI board? Sometimes the connector takes a bit of force to get it to clip in.
