My pc was on and we had a power outage. Computer won't power up now. Power is on, there is a green light on where the power supply is located and there is a yellow light on my mother board.

As odd as it sounds have you unplugged and turned off the switch on the back of the power supply? sometimes the power protection will kick in and cause issues when it looses power suddenly. It may help it may not but its the easiest thing to try to start.

Most likely your power supply has failed. What are the specs of your Dell PC or what is the model you have?

I have turned off the teen light on the power supply and turned it back on. Also have plugged the power supply in another working outlet. Still won't power up..

Try resetting your BIOS by removing the CMOS battery (watch battery thing) from the motherboard (with PSU off and unplugged) for about 30 seconds and then replace it (note it's orientation before removing). Plug in the PSU, turn on the switch at the back of the PSU (if it has one) then power on and see where you get

I'm having the same problem right now, I just tried another dell power supply I had lying around and the same thing is still happening. I'm thinking that the CPU is fried or something, it's and 2nd or 3rd gen i3
