Which processor for me i7-4770 or i7-3770

my idea for this computer is for playing high end games using a gtx 780 3gb and then recording then editing the videos then posting on youtube. which is the best for the money? im trying to save as much money as possible or should i go with an i5 processor.

If its a new build probably a better idea to go with the newest tech, to get the most longevity out of it. The i7 3770 is a fine processor and almost as good as the Haswell part, but its essentially on a dead socket.

And dextermat is correct. If you are doing any video work at all, get the i7 over the i5.

On a side note I would fork over the extra $30 for the "k" version whether you think you'll overclock or not. Its good to at least have the option.
