Hi all, I'm trying to run a set up with my Lenovo Ideapad y580, the laptop has a single VGA and a single HDMI port, I have an older dell monitor, and a Toshiba LED television. I have the Monitor attached to the Laptop via VGA and the Television via HDMI. My problem occurs when trying to set up, I can't get both the monitor, my laptop screen and the television to work simultaneously, the monitor usually disables itself automatically, even when i configure it to work correctly, once i apply the changes it reverts to having a disabled monitor. I've tried a few different multiple monitor managers (ultramon, multimon) and have the same problem.

What are my options for solving this problem? any tips or tricks? O?r am I just missing something really basic

I am running windows 7 64 bit, with an Nvidia GT 660m.

My guess is that it only allows you to run 2 (diferent) monitors at once, so it has to shut down one of them, the one thing you could do is duplicate your laptop with one of them, and expand ot the other,
Meaning that you would have to displays showing the same, and one that is not, since you only have two outputs its very likely that only 2 monitors can be displayed at once.
