Psu 300 watt, can it run my graphics card?

Can I run a sapphire radeon hd 6850 on a 300 watt power supply? And if I can, is there any large risk?

There is no way you'd want to be running a 6850 on 300w. Do you already own the GPU? The PSU? Or both?

I already own the card, I bought it from a freind for $50, I wanted to put it in my computer but didnt know if I needed a psu upgrade

That Seasonic unit is great, 550w is more than enough for a 6850. Wouldn't want to go much lower than that. Here's a different unit to consider, it's 80+ gold, but the XFX delivers more steady power so you can't really go wrong with either one.

The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 25 Amps or greater and have at least one 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector.
