hi i was wondering what your opinions would be on parts for a gaming rig which could also be used for zbrush ,maya and photoshop
i dont need a case got a corsair 600t

If you want some great performance in photoshop, maya and so on id go for the i7 4770.
Its the best for such things and the best for all.
Then going for the Gtx 690 or Gtx 680 Grapichs card.

the parts im most undecided/confused on are Mboard, ram and psu for
Intel Core i7 4770K. also in terms of video cards im looking at 760s but i dont know how they all compare to each other like asus vs msi and all that

thanks for that but unfortunately i am in Canada but i guess ill look around at those parts to see how much it'd cost to build here

that is a really unbalanced gaming computer if you want to overclock you need a better motherboard atleast asrock z77 extreme4 and than get corsair hydro series h100i and you have cheaped out on a solid state drive and a hard drive so overall te system will feel kind of slow and also you have cheaped out on a power supply which is a VERY IMPORTANT part of the whole build because a weaker power supply will burn your components very easy

No, the build that cars12345 suggested is way better than yours. The PSU is just fine and the build is way more balanced for the applications that the OP wants. Here is the best build for 3D rendering and some gaming that I could come up with. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1BxiX
