New System won't POST

I built my first system this week. The build started poorly, with me pulling out the CPU heatsink and taking the CPU with it, bending a few pins. I found instructions for unbending online and was able to seemingly rectify the problem. The CPU fit into the socket fine and the rest of the build went relatively smoothly.

When I went to power up, the system seemed to power up, with fans running and the power LED coming on. Unfortunately, the system doesn't POST; there is no signal to the monitor and the motherboard doesn't beep. My first assumption was that I hadn't actually fixed the CPU, but the CPU LED on the motherboard only flashes briefly on startup while the DRAM LED stays on.

My motherboard is an ASUS M5!99FX PRO R2.0, and I have tried using its MemOK! feature, rearranging the RAM in the sockets, testing each separately, and even using a different chip, but the results are always the same.

Does anyone have any idea of anything else I might try? Is it possible that the issue isn't with the RAM at all?
