Hi. I take it you are getting this from iBuypower? If so, they put out some good stuff and i can't say as that I have heard anything negative about them. Cyberpower is another thing and I woould tell someone to stay away from them. It appears to be a pretty decent build .

Their standard ibuypower brand power supplies are trash. You don't need more than 500 watts but if there is an upgrade to a name brand available I would do it. I don't know what they offer but you can trust Corsair, Seasonic, PC Power and Cooling, XFX, Silverstone, Enermax, OCZ and Antec.

I saw reviews for cyber power and am going with ibuypower. They have it showing high settings for crysis 3 and ultra for most other games due to the pricey graphics card.. Was wondering how true that was for the system as a whole. It's my first gaming desktop, been gaming on a below average laptop and before I order it wanted advise because being able to afford this is a one time deal that I will be stuck with for many years to come

Noted, a corsair upgrade is only $10 more so ill do that

That'll be fine then.

Don't expect Crysis 3 to even close to max out. You need a GTX 780 minimum to do that at 1920 x 1080. Higher settings maybe but nowhere near max.

It's really not a great system. The CPU is not a CPU but an APU and not as good as a CPU. An APU is a CPU/GPU combo. Since you are adding a discreet GPU you should use a CPU and not an APU. An APU also needs the fastest memory you can throw at it. I would not use DDR3 1600 with one I would use DDR3 2133 minimum.

A GTX 760 is good medium power graphics card.

Ibuypower power supply issues mentioned above.

Don't listen to this guy, hes just a troll. 660 should be able to play it at Medium-High settings, but I would recommend a GTX760 or higher. GTX760 should play it at High, just 1 below Max/Ultra, a GTX770 should max out Crysis 3 at 1920x1080

EDIT: His whole paragraph is a lie. DDR3 1600 is perfect for an APU, its perfect for even a Titan or 690.

EDIT 2: Also 1 more thing, GTX780 is WAY TO overkill for any current game out now.

Medium to high setting is fine for me. I'm sitting at $840 right now and I don't want to up that much more... Scared I would kill something building it myself haha but I know that would save me money

Yeah, its fine the first build you listed with the GTX660 will play Crysis 3 at Medium-High settings, as long as you turn AA off, you won't notice a difference, its one of those settings that taxes your computer but you barely notice a difference.

If you can use a screw driver you'll be fine :) Really just a matter of mounting things into place and plugging in wires.

I'm a troll? Yes........a troll with over 9000 posts who is in the top 25 posters in the history of this site. Obviously a troll who wastes everyone's time.......

You sir are a moron.

Shall we count the ways? Yes lets!

EDIT: His whole paragraph is a lie. DDR3 1600 is perfect for an APU, its perfect for even a Titan or 690.

An APU is a CPU with a graphics core. A Titan and 690 are graphics cards. You are comparing apples to oranges. And BTW an APU needs the highest speed RAM you can give it.....as I said above.

Proof? No problem.

There are 3 nice article to educate yourself with.

[quoteGTX760 should play it at High, just 1 below Max/Ultra, a GTX770 should max out Crysis 3 at 1920x1080
][/quote]

EDIT 2: Also 1 more thing, GTX780 is WAY TO overkill for any current game out now.

Oh yeah? Ready to look like an idiot again?

Crysis 3 at 1920 x 1080 on very high with a GTX780 gets you an avg of 43 FPS. Obviously overkill....since 43 FPS is barely playable in a first person shooter.

So before you call those more knowledgeable than you a troll you might want to at least understand the subject much less the specifics of what you are talking about.

Because by showing proof when other people check this thread in the future they see that one of us is not just some 13 year old who thinks they know something about computers being an idiot. That allows people to get the correct information. And that is the point of this site ;)

Sorry to rant in your thread but I hate idiots.

This is better. But not ideal. If you have to go with AMD at least try for the FX 6300. The extra cores will help especially in the long run.

The higher speed memory will make almost no difference with a traditional CPU. Only an APU needs the fastest RAM.

43 FPS is more then enough for any game. Idiot.

EDIT: Your eyes can't see more then 30FPS. So theres really no point in that extra Frames.
