Do this. It will be MANY TIMES better than your build. It will actually run games at better than low settings. You should be at med/high. Everything is much better quality than your build as well.

Hm.. your build is a really bad idea.

You need a PSU, a real CPU and not an APU, a proper mobo to match that CPU (in this case, you'd have to go intel for a Mini-ITX rig.. FX series has no mobos in that form factor right now. or go with older athlon) You'd need a blu-ray reader Op drive, some less spendy RAM, and a much much much more expensive GPU. Don't forget that you need a fan/water cooling system for your CPU.

You're probably going to go well above $500 just to let you know.

No, he doesn't have to. Look at my build. The CPU comes with a cooler, as 95% of them do.

While you will be able to run Cod ghosts with slightly higher than low settings... how long would this system really last? Probably not long. the Athlon generation is a little dated, and the parts listed here don't include a blu ray player..

He'd be better off saving a little and getting some quality parts and having something that will last imo

That CPU was released 2 months ago. It is NEW. Do not just say its old because AMD threw it in the Athlon name. It is a very capable CPU and will have no trouble with modern games. The hd850 will run modern games at high settings. Should be a mix of medium and high at 1080p for BF4 or likely full high at 720p.

Every single part in the build is high quality. Nothing is 'cheap' Or low end.

This is not true at all. For $36 you can have an EXCELLENT quality case. The NZXT Source 210 is a perfect example. It has plenty of cable management options, a large CPU back plat panel, great airflow, solid quality construction, and tons of expandability.
