so i have decided to get a 7970 since it still performs really well and is now fairly cheap. question is: which one! i'd like non reference but it's not a big deal if it is. i really just want the best i can get! so what should i grab, i was looking at the matrix platinum from asus but it's still fairly expensive and i'm not doing insane overclocking. i play games like borderlands 2, metro 2033, dark souls, and bioshock infinite. thanks for the help!

I personally like this one better than the Matrix. You can easily clock the DirectCU II to 1050Mhz with afterburner and then you've basically got the same card for $100 less. Then from there if you want to go higher you can. Some people seem to think the voltage is locked on the DirectCU II but if you use Asus Smart Doctor you'll find that it isn't. If I were buying a 7970 right now there is no way I wouldn't go for this one. It's so damn good looking hahaha.
