So ive been having a less then smooth night with a older build im doing as a simple home server. I bought a new case and after haveing several things go wrong i was losing my patience already. Then when it came to plugging in the main 24pin power to the board of course it didnt reach.

So in a pissed off mood i grabbed my soldering iron and starting clipping wires. I got about 5 in before i notices there were more then one solid black. So my question is i would hope all the solid blacks were grounds but if i did happen to get a black wire to a another black wire that wasnt its original connections would that matter? Or do the grounds (Im hopping) have to be in a certain pin locations. Anyone help. I reallllllllly dont wanna have to buy a new psu for this stupid build but i also dont wanna burn my house down. Its only 3 black wires i dont know where they belong i can trace all the others.
