Hello, I am making my gaming PC and I am curious about SSD. Is it required? What does it do? Isn't 1TB HDD enough space? And why does it come in such small amounts of storage?

Solution
The SSDs are made to install the OS on them, mostly. They speed up the boot by a ton, about 60 times faster. And also makes the system faster all around. Not required, but if you can fit one in your budget, definitively do it.

it's not about space, actually ssd sucks when it comes to space, well it does not suck, but it will suck your cash if you try to by anything close to 1TB.
the main reason is speed, i have an old ssd, and i boot at around 13sec. And what i have is far from the fastest. Loading games (and apps) improves by a lot.
most of the time, ssd for OS (and a few games/apps), then the rest goes to the mechanical hdd
