ASRock 330 ION Motherboard Dead after testing WOL (Wake on LAN) ???

Hi,

I setup WOL (Wake on Lan) for my ASRock 330 ION media center so I can power it on from my mobile, it seemed to be working fine. I powered it on and off 5-6 times over half an hour to test it was working properly then the media centre just stopped working completely.

At this point I think the motherboard is dead. I'm a little confused why it would suddenly die after doing something as simple as this ... ???

Quick rundown of the symptions ...
- Nothing is being displayed via HDMI or VGA
- HD and CD Drive seem to spin up
- Motherboard Fans are both working

I've disconnected everything connected to it and attempted to power it on but no luck. I've stripped it down, removing HD, CD Drive, RAM etc and tried powering it on and again nothing.

Does my guess at a dead motherboard sound reasonable? Or does anyone have any other suggestions on what it might be or possible things to try?

Yep it was a bit weird. I had it working, tested it a few times, then my GF woke up and I said hey check this out ... and nothing, it was toast :(

I've pulled the battery out and will give that 10 minutes and try it again, if that fails, I've found the jumper to clear the CMOS, so I'll try that next.

No dice, I reset the CMOS and no change unfortunately ... :(

Any other options?

Yep, it was plugged in properly, I tried 2 different HDMI cables on the TV plus an old VGA cable. Then tested it on my PC monitor using HDMI ... and nothing.

I get no output from the TV / PC at all, so as far as I can tell no bios / post but without a display I can't really tell. The motherboard doesn't have a speaker so I won't get any beeps it might make during the POST.

I also checked the power supply, it's just a 19v plugpack and using a multimeter confirmed it was putting out about 19.3v

I'm still baffled how it died. I didn't even change the WOL setting in the BIOS, it was already set on. I simply used it to power on the machine a couple of times via the XBMC remote on my phone.

Thanks for your suggestion but I bought it more than 4 years ago, RMA would not make sense I guess. Most people just replace in this case, hardware freaks like us try to cure with each others help which I highly appreciate.
