I am following this guide for overclocking my Intel i5-750 and I a using Hyper212 EVO (http://www.legionhardware.com/articles_pages/intel_core_i5_750_overclocking_guide,3.html)
My question:
1. If I overclock it to say 4.2Ghz, will the CPU stay at 4.2Ghz even when idle. This guide seems to imply that the voltage decreases when idle i.e they are using the Turbo Mode.
2. So, does the CPU frequency increase only when on Load ?
3. If no, is there any software where I can apply OC'd frequency within Windows and turn off when not necessary?
