hard disk is detected for short duration

when i connect my hard disk ,initially the system detects it ,then after a few seconds the LED on hard disk is off and there is no external hard disk icon in task bar.It's a 1TB seagate backup plus portable model.

HDD is working properly in other systems, i can see the contents of HDD but the window closes in few seconds.
