Looking to see if there is a way to network 2 pcs with different ip addresses. I want to get a game going with my uncle but he is 7 miles away from me. We both have Comcast internet. But is there a way for us to play through a network instead of online. I want to run the game through a network not through online. Any tips please. I know nothing about networking

With your uncle being 7 miles away, the only network you can use is the internet.
You are too far apart for any other option to be practical.

Depending on the routers you use you could couple the networks together, this way you still game over the internet but the internet would just be an extension of the network cables you use.

This means that if you start a local game it will be able to find your uncles PC just as if it were plugged into your own network. Both your routers do need to support this function though.
