Hi everybody,
I currently own an AMD 7970 graphics card from XFX which has a reference design and was overclocked out of the box to 1gzh. I am now thinking of buying a second one with a reference design as well (because I will screw the cooler of and screw a water block on instead, for water cooling purposes of course), but XFX does not produce this particular card anymore and the only ones with a reference design (and a "wallet-friendly-price") are the standard clocked 925mhz reference design cards, such as the Club3D Radeon HD 7970.
Now here comes my question: Is it possible to buy the Club3D, and put it in Crossfire with the XFX? And, if possible, how can I overclock the Club 3D to match up with the XFX's speed so that I wont lose any performance, or will I have such an overkill that I should actually down clock the XFX?
Thank you for your time,
