Dell Optiplex 740 Graphics Card Problem-
I have a Dell Optiplex 740 with Athlon X2 3800+ that I am looking to upgrade to Athlon X2 6400+, and 4GB of RAM that I am looking to upgrade to 8GB. The only issue is that I don't know which graphics card will run in my PC due to the generally vague news on this PC on the internet. Will this run, and if it won't, is there any way to make it run?

Any help? Thanks.

Since the 3800+ (which I presume is the 2.0GHz dual-core) is an AM2 socket, you might want to try and see if your motherboard will support a first generation Phenom.

Also, it might be time for a platform upgrade.

The GPU will run fine, but try to find a GDDR5 version.
