My Razer Deathadder is not working in Windows. The lights are still on, but no cursor appears on the screen, and nothing happens when I click or move it. I have had it for almost a year and it has worked fine. I tried a cheap Logitech mouse and it doesn't work either.

EDIT: I am attempting to uninstall it through the device manager, but whenever I select the uninstall option, it just shows the "uninstalling device" bar forever. I have had it on this for over 20 minutes now and nothing has happened.

My computer is kind of messed up in a few ways, and I really should probably be reinstalling Windows and getting a fresh start, but I can't redownload all my programs. I have a monthly internet cap of 300GB, and my Steam games alone are over 1TB. I'd have to download all my programs over the course of a few months, or exceed my cap by a lot.

No, I would still recommend the mouse. It was almost certainly my fault that it wasn't working. I have my OS set up really weird because I had to get it to fit on a 32GB SSD, as that was the only storage I had when I got the computer. My driver files were probably all messed up, as I would delete the manifests to save space. :p

Anyway, I just ended up reinstalling Windows, and it works perfectly now. It works on my laptop too. (I installed Windows to HDD this time and am using Intel Rapid Storage Technology now. I have learnt my lessons about trying to fit an OS on a tiny drive.)
Perhaps your USB drivers are corrupted, do you have an old PS/2 mouse you can use and does your system have a PS/2 port? If you do and it does you can shut down your system. Plug in the PS/2 mouse and power on your system. Then go into the device manager and uninstall all the USB hubs. Then exit the device manager. The system will automatically detect your USB ports and reinstall the USB drivers.

Make sure that USB ports are not in hibernation mode. Please go to your Windows “Device Manager” and click the + sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Click on any “Root Hub” and select “Properties.” Click the Power Management tab and ensure that “Allow computer to turn off this device to save power” and proceed to do this under each Root Hub. Also, from the Control Panel and Power Options, select the Hibernation Tab and deselect “Enable hibernate support.”

Haha, I tried the device manager thing and as my edit says, nothing really seems to happen. Also, I don't have PS/2 ports. It is just a fairly basic Z77 board.

What? I said the opposite of this. I have no PS/2 ports.

I'll try your hibernation thing though.
