AMD 7970 Underperformance.

Okay, So i have a AMD 7970, and i believe that it could be under performing, and i do not know why, the current settings it is clocked up is 1125 MHZ and then 1575 MHZ, My specs are :

AMD FX 8350 (OC at 4.4Ghz)
8GB RAM
GIGABYTE 970

A game that i can give Benchmarks for is Tomb Raider and I get these results on Ultimate + tressfx.

Min - 27.5
Average - 37.4
Max - 46.7

I feel this is very low for the card that i have, but have no clue what to do to troubleshoot it.

I have tried, its not tomb raider that is giving me the problems, i just put that down so people have an idea, i can benchmark other games that have the inbuilt benchmark system as i do not own any.

I also have 13.10, no improvements.

It's not just getting slow, it's just getting older. Newer games are more taxing, and so GPUs that once were able to output 60fps on max settings stop being able to keep up, thus the new line of GPUs with its own new high-end offerings. It's the natural cylce of things.

That said, upon review, I note that I conflated your max and average FPS. Are your GPU temperatures doing alright? 37.4 does seem a bit low, given that your max FPS is lower than their average fps.
