Monitors changing resolution when not playing native?

Is there a program or a option to make it so your second monitor does not switch to the resolution of the game you are in, for example i play a game in 720p so my other 1080p monitor also switches to that resolution, any fix?

Well i play in 16:10 and recording is not very nice so i have to downscale my monitor, annoying when trying to watch a video or do something on the other monitor.
