Which is best for gaming and overclocking ??

Solution
Hero is basically a larger and worse version of Gene but with some things not included (like wifi and bluetooth). Formula is like a downgraded Extreme, without all the fancy overclocking stuff, but it also supports a custom liquid cooling loop.
So, again, I suggest the Gene as it is like a Formula without the liquid cooling :ange:
The Rampage is a LGA 2011 board, others Z87

Which I'd use would depend on what your goals are.... If thinking SLI / CF with more than 2 cards, you have to go with the Extreme or Rampage.

The Sabertooth is a great overclocker, but not exactly geared towards gaming. The GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-D3H is an entry level board @ $140... all the others are over $200, Sabertooth ($250), Maximus VI Extreme ($370), Rampage ($430)

The best board IMO, for gaming and overclocking, 2 GFX in SLI, is the Asus Maximus VI Formula ($300) .... great OC features, set up for optional water cooling, great sound, RAM, hi end chokes and caps, sonic radar and, not that it matters in this context, but the best looking MoBo I have ever seen.

If you are using a custom watercooling loop and 3 - 4 graphics cards and do some crazy overclocking, then use the Extreme. Otherwise, you get the same components on the Gene, but it can only support 2 graphics card (who has more than 2 anyway).
