Case Ideas for New Build

Thinking of replacing my old system sometime in the next 6-12 months, but I'm waiting for Haswell to come down in price and the next gen AMD cards to be released. So in the meantime, would it be worth getting a new case and switching parts over time?
My current case is the Thermaltake Armor +MX. Ideally I'd like something the same size or a little smaller, but I don't think I'd want to go full HTPC. On the other hand, I doubt I'd get a motherboard larger than ATX so massive cases aren't that important. I do however have a huge HD5870 which I'd like to be able to use without removing the HDD caddy (which I've had to do with my current build).

I don't want too many flashing lights or curves, since that sort of thing goes out of style pretty quickly (and since it's also used as a HTPC/gaming machine the lights get pretty distracting), and I don't really care for side windows. Saying that, the Raidmax Vampire has a pretty awesome design which I'd love to use. However, I'm not too sure since there's no reviews currently online.

The Thermaltake Urban S31 is the same price in my country, and ticks the boxes for design, lack of distracting lights and a full sized HDD slot on top to replace the external one I'm currently using for spare HDDs. Plus it has sound insulating padding which is a huge advantage. There's also the Lian Li PC-B25B for sound dampening which is $100 less, but I'm not sure it's worth it. The Bitfenix Ghost could be worth a look at $50 less than the S31 though.

Also in the budget section are the Raidmax Seiran, Thermaltake Commander MS-III and Antec GX700 that have all caught my eye, but none with the same sort of design or features I'd get with the Vampire or S31. Is it worth saving the money on the case and sinking it into other components?

consider getting a cube case like the corsair carbide 540 air. they are bigger on the inside but smaller on the outside.

It's $75 more than any other case I've already mentioned, it's getting a bit too expensive :( Nice design though.
