First of all, I'm sorry if my grammar is bad, you may find it incomprehensible so feel free to ask if my questions are unclear.
Don't get me wrong, i've been done some research about AMD FX-6300. I'm more or less understand that this processor is not a 'true' 6-core. Instead, it consists of 3 modules, each with a pair of core with shared resources. And my questions are :
1. In Crysis 2 configuration file, it's written that
Total number of logical processors: 6
Number of available logical processors: 6
Total number of system cores: 3
Number of cores available to process: 3
would that mean that Crysis 2 only takes 3 cores instead of 6? or is the 'system cores' and 'cores available to process' refer to the modules instead of cores so that the game actually utilize all 6 cores?
2. Similarly, in windows system information it's written that AMD FX-6300 has 3 cores and 6 logical processors. My question for this is the same as question number 1, would windows only use 3 cores instead of 6? or is the 'core' refers to the module that windows actually utilizes all 6 cores?
3. I'm planning to upgrade either my processor or my GPU. Which would be better? replacing my FX-6300 with FX-8350 or Radeon HD 7770 with GTX 660? My budget here is very limited so don't tell me to get HD 7870 or GTX 660 Ti
