Acer Aspire One D255 Windows 7 Ultimate. I am trying to use an older Dell 17" monitor as an external. The computer recognizes the monitor in "view printers and devices" but I cannot get it to display. I have tried everything I can think of including all the graphic output settings and even changing the resolution. Hitting F5 or F4 does change from the computer screen to the monitor but nothing displays on the monitor. I have also tried different cables. The monitor works fine with a Dell laptop.
Do I have a bad VGA output on the Acer? Is there any other way to test it? If it is bad can it be repaired or is it not worth the money?
