Hello.

First I replaced my motherboard, CPU and added some RAM. New CPU: AMD FX 8350, mobo: 990FXA-UD5, RAM 2 x 8GM 1600 DDR3.

Now it boots up. Check.
It recognises windows 7 disc. Check.
I click install windows and it needs to recognise the drive, either windows drive or hard drive, to install OS onto.

aaaand it doesn't. They show up on screen but the button to proceed is shaded.

Any solution? Do I need a new hard drive?

first you have to clean or delete some installed program or drivers before replacing motherboard which are not supported by your new motherboard.
