Unable To Install ATI Drivers

most laptops Do Not use the same driver that AMD/ATI release on there website. many of them need to be downloaded from the laptop makers website. only a very few will accept a driver from the AMD/ATI website. the ones that do usually have a dedicated GPU in them and usually cost $1000 + USD.

I know this because i just went through the same issue your having and some simple research on your part will render the same answers i just gave.

EDIT: COPIED FROM AMD WEBSITE. **Important!***

Please note, that the AMD Catalyst Mobility driver package can only be installed on specific AMD Enduro platforms, that are second generation AMD A-series APU, or third generation Intel Core family based.

Please note that all other platforms that do not include support for AMD Enduro Technology are supported through AMD Catalyst Mobility.

Hrmm. I've updated the drivers using the catalysts from the ACER website but nothing has changed. The 'VGA' (ATI Card without driver) still says Code 10 and that it's the same version.
