Although a little more specific than the title.

I have been looking at a mouse for a long time.
I have small hands, and alternate grips. Although mostly using a claw like grip. And with many different surfaces.
Must be wired.

About a year ago I went all out and ended up trying out 10+ really nice mice, but in the end went back to my Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse.

Now I am at it again and hopefully can get some input this time around before making a go.
Some points in looking for:
1) I -really- like the slim width of the Microsoft Basic Optical since it allows picking it up and dragging it easy as I often set up in environments, set ups, and chairs which allow little movement.
2) I really want this thing to last a long time, so simplicity is a plus. While a few extra buttons would be a massive plus, not needed.
3) I really want a better mouse wheel and the primary reason why i'm looking for a replacement is left and right scrolling on the wheel.
4) More sensitivity than the MBOM (Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse)
5) Rubberized side grips for easy picking up, but this is not huge.

In summary, I have small hands and want something small (easy lifting), reliable(durable), with better precision, a couple extra buttons if so, left/right scrolling.
And I would imagine in a simple design, since it seems ALL TOO OFTEN that the current ones with all the gizmos have extremely poor button placement.

Edit: I'm completely comfortable paying whatever price for this.
And even though I like the MBOM, it's not entirely long term comfortable. Not sure if it's the lack of weight or lack of a back.

Right now i'm looking at the:
SteelSeries Sensei
Corsair Vengeance M95
Gigabyte GM-Krypton
Logitech M500

I like my Logitech M500 corded mouse. It's basic without being cheap.

1. It's got enough heft to let you know it's there, while not being too heavy.
2. It's wider at the base than the top, making it comfortable for smaller hands (which I also have).
3. The sides are rubberized.
4. It has two extra programmable thumb buttons (default setting is browser forward/backward).
5. The wheel is smooth or click scrolling (selected via a switch) with side scrolling.

I replaced my old Logitech LX3 (it was a nice narrow mouse with good weight) with this mouse, and it's been more than sufficient.
