I just built a new system with an i7 4770 and ASUS Z87-K. System works fine...but, I decided to buy a nicer video card and purchased an EVGA 650ti BOOST. As soon as I poewered it up the first time it fried my MOBO. I double checked the power connections and tried with a replacement MOBO and when I re-installed the video card again...BAM...as soon as I powered up it cooked the MOBO again.

Is there a compatibility issue or do I did I get a graphics card that is NFG?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for the reply.

Its happened with 2 different PSU's (ANTEC 450 and Thermaltake 500)...so based on your reply I'm assuming it's a bad GPU. Do you see any conflict with the combination otherwise?
